This website has been designed to help you learn about the Fund and make the most of the flexibility it offers.

As we have previously highlighted, in response to a series of recent High Court rulings members’ benefits in all pension schemes like ours need to be reviewed to reflect the fact that benefits earned during the period from 17 May 1990 to 5 April 1997 must be equalised between men and women to adjust for the effect of any inequalities in Guaranteed Minimum Pensions (‘GMPs’).

If you earned benefits in the Fund during this period, you may be entitled to receive an uplift to your pension. If you are a pensioner, you may also be entitled to some back payments, although any impact is likely to be small.

We have continued to make good progress on this very large and complex project and we expect to write out to any members that are affected in the coming months. In the meantime, you do not need to take any action.

Please be advised that the Trustee is currently progressing GMP equalisation for both existing and historic members of the Plan as it has a legal obligation to do so. As part of this exercise the Trustee may need one of its service providers to contact you by email and/or by post.
