This website has been designed to help you learn about the Fund and make the most of the flexibility it offers.

As we’ve previously mentioned, the Fund had to carry out a full review of the Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP) part of members’ pension benefits. This is known as GMP equalisation and was in response to a legal case in 2018, stating that GMP earned between 17 May 1990 and 5 April 1997 must be equalised between men and women to make sure nobody was worse off because of their sex.

We’re pleased to confirm the review is now complete and we’ve been in touch with all members whose benefits have been affected. Any changes to benefits have already been put in place and no further action is needed in relation to this exercise.
